Nikhil Singh Shekhawat is a graduate research student at SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRMIST), Chennai, where he leads a focused team working on Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (SRMAUV), where he works on machine vision, and system integration. As the team lead of SRM AUV, he has guided the group to notable achievements, including winning the Tenacity Award at the TAC Challenge 2024. His work has also received recognition in the media.

He completed his Bachelor’s in Computer Science at SRMIST under the guidance of Dr. Angayarkanni S., and was honored with the Top Performer Award for the 2021–2025 batch.

In addition to his academic work, he served as a Software Development Intern at State Bank of India, where he contributed to projects involving financial forecasting and resource allocation strategies.
